Kyle Crutcher is a local Colorado Springs artist who has been making pottery since high school. Kyle earned his BFA in Studio Arts with an Emphasis in Ceramics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His work runs the gamut from pieces inspired by English folk pottery with Celtic decoration to Retro Futuristic rocket ships. His work can be found in galleries and various shows throughout the year. Robert Hay
Colorado based artist Robert Hay has been honing his talent in Sumi-e 墨絵 (the art of Japanese ink painting) throughout his lifetime. Originally a student of martial arts, he was introduced to Sumi-e by his grandmother as an alternative form of meditation. Over the years Robert has developed his craft using many techniques, from different art mediums, to bring a more cultured quality to his painting.
Robert’s style of painting and drawing are inspired by nature, music, and from across the universe. He is passionate about keeping Sumi-e alive and passing it onto different generations. Robert also enjoys many works by science fiction authors, which is reflected in his digital artwork.

Laurey (L.F.) Patten
L.F. (Laurey) Patten often characterizes her multitude of interests as “A.D.D of the right brain.” Degreed in history and anthropology, her checkered career has included work as an archaeologist on medieval/castle sites in England, tour guide at the Smithsonian, history teacher, herbalist, actress, singer, and pottery/jewelry instructor. (She also plays a mean set of spoons at Irish music sessions!) She has been writing/editing books, articles and short stories for the past 40 years. Her current novel, the heroic fantasy The Talent Sinistral, launched at World Fantasy Con in 2014, was written in loving tribute to fellow right-brainers everywhere.

Peri
This is written by the artist David Martin for me, Peri Charlifu. Peri Charlifu is a master potter and extremely talented craftsman and artist.  Years ago, I was a member of a family of potters who owned Marshall Pottery, a seventy-year old business distributing their products worldwide.  I’ve seen the accumulated skills of potters who have perfected their craft over forty years or more, and in Peri, I recognized the same level of mastery and more. Peri knows his market.  I’ve been a contributing artist at SF conventions for over forty years, and I recognize someone who not only knows what fantasy fans like, but is able to tailor to the craft show market as well.  My personal favorite is his work based upon the writings of H. P. Lovecraft.  I’ve purchased over thirty pieces for my home and always look to see if he’s done something new along these lines. Peri routinely shows more than a hundred pieces at SF conventions.  It’s easy to see that not only is he talented, but is also fast and reliable.  I’ve seen art show demonstrations in which Peri has constructed huge and beautiful creations in less than an hour.  To me, there is no better mark of professionalism than an artist who can create something in front of a room full of spectators. R. Gary Raham

Dr. Rob S. Rice
Rob S. Rice has long had a fascination with the histories of war, technology, and the sea. He has delivered papers before the APA, lectured at Annapolis and has taught subjects from Mythology to Roman History. Before all THAT, he won the 1st Del Rey ‘Writers of Tomorrow’ contest in 1983, the bug bit hard and early, and has never quite let him go. Peter Sartucci is a writer of epic fantasy and science fiction who has been lurking around Front Range fandom since well before the end of the last century.
